Zermillion’s *"Lorain County, Ohio"* reimagines a public space with a striking display of community pride. From an aerial perspective, the bold orange lettering against the bright blue surface creates a compelling visual that highlights the county’s name, state, and founding year. The piece is more than a design—it’s a revitalization of the area, turning it into a vibrant focal point for the community.
This court in Lorain, Ohio, was inspired by the community and Venice Beach. “I felt it was important to bring the spirit of Venice to Ohio, as they love us, and it’s only right to bring the love back”. The court was put together by The Grind League, Relic Clothing, & RC3. These organizations host positive events in the city and local parks and consistently give back to the community. They are celebrating their 5th annual Togetherness Fest in 2024.
Additionally, they mentor many kids and provide basketball training. Zermillion has been working with them for over four years. This court took them over two years of networking and execution and was executed in eight days with the help of Relic Clothing, The Grind League, and DJ Dgrind.
This artwork serves as a tribute to the county’s heritage, bringing people together through its powerful imagery. Zermillion’s approach transforms the space into a reflection of shared history and collective identity, giving the community a refreshed sense of connection.
